What We Do

Keeping Your Home Clean & Tidy

From the moment we knock at your door we are thinking “Clean & Tidy”.  From your front doormat to your fireplace we carefully lay down clean floor coverings.  We always remove our shoes or put clean slip on shoe covers over them.  At your fireplace or fire appliance we would appreciate an area around two metres square where we can lay out our equipment ensuring it always goes on our covers and not your carpet.

Please ensure the appliance or grate is cold and clear and clean of all ash.  We can’t work on a hot fire. We also need a plug point to be available to connect our HEPA filtration vacuum.

Now we carefully cover your appliance or in the case of an open fire the whole opening and we are ready to begin sweeping your chimney.

Advanced HEPA filtration vacuum

We use an Advanced HEPA filtration vacuum. This a high-performance cleaning device equipped with a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter that traps and removes tiny particles, including allergens, dust mites, and pet dander, from the air. It ensures cleaner, healthier indoor environments by efficiently capturing particles as small as 0.3 microns, enhancing air quality while vacuuming.

CCTV internal chimney surveys

We can carry out CCTV internal chimney surveys.  These are conducted to assess the condition and integrity of chimney structures inside buildings. By using specialized cameras, these surveys allow for a thorough inspection of the interior, identifying issues like blockages, cracks, or structural damage. This helps ensure safety, compliance with regulations, and timely maintenance or repairs.

Insurance certificates issued

We issue an insurance certificate after chimney sweeping as this is necessary to provide proof of service and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards. This document safeguards homeowners against potential fire hazards and smoke-related damage. It also serves as evidence for insurance claims, establishing liability coverage in case of any unforeseen incidents or accidents related to the chimney.

Blocked flue liners cleared

We can clear blocked flue liners.  This is crucial to prevent dangerous consequences such as carbon monoxide poisoning and chimney fires. Blockages can restrict proper ventilation, causing harmful gases to accumulate and potentially ignite creosote deposits. Regular clearance ensures safe and efficient operation, reducing health and safety risks associated with blocked flues.

Stove door servicing

We service stove doors. Servicing involves inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining the door of a wood or pellet stove. This process includes checking seals, hinges, and gaskets for wear and tear, and addressing any issues that may compromise the stove’s efficiency or safety. Regular servicing ensures proper operation and minimizes heat loss.

Bird nest removal

We are experts at bird nest removal from chimney flues.  This typically involves several steps. We use specialized tools such as rods, brushes, or vacuums to dislodge and remove the nest. It’s crucial to ensure all debris is cleared to prevent blockages, followed by inspecting and recommending the installation of protective measures like caps to deter future nesting. Safety precautions are taken to avoid harming birds or damaging the chimney.  We then make a final check with our CCTV camera.
